SKATEVILLE

I'm at work - on press. Waiting for them to call me back to the press to check the color. I'm waiting on pricing for estimates that I have out to bid. I suppose you could call this my lunch hour as I'm not really working right now.

This weekend was OK. I went to a birthday party for a friend at Skateville in Burnsville. Wow. Can we talk about crazy? Little kids falling and crashing right in front of you to leave you scrambling for a place to skate around them without bashing into someone else.

I fell once. My wrist still hurts. I woke up this morning with some serious pain but I'm sure I will get over it. I'm supposed to skate at the dome later tonight but I'm not sure when I will get out of here. We have a bunch of forms left to print.

I was surprised by the amount of adults (people my age) skating at Skateville. I mean, I understand their love of skating as I too adore it but what I'm talking about is the over all tone of them as people. It seemed like they were only there to possibly, maybe - dare I say it.... Hook up with someone?!?

The dudes were really creepy. In fact, reminiscent of Jack Tripper and Three's Company. There were even chicks there too, they were as bad however there is always one in the bunch and she was nuts.

She nearly crashed into me twice trying to show off her fancy moves and slick dancing skills. I mean, if you are gonna be cool at something - skate dancing is the way to go...

Whatever.
