4 Miles And A Sunburn....

After the excitement of the tournament we decided to take a blade around the pond. Here is my younger sister N getting her gear on.

Remember - it's important to always wear safety gear when doing any kind of sport.

The trails were great but the sun was hot, hot, hot!! N managed to do an extra 2 miles around the pond while D and I rested and got some much needed fluids in our body.

This was the first major blade that I have done since my knee injury and I'm happy to report that all is well. This means that training for the 10 mile tour in the St. Paul Marathon on August 20th will begin - and HARD.

Thanks for putting in the plug for safety gear. Many people think it's "not cool" to wear gear.

It's much cooler than being a drooling vegetable hooked up to machines the rest of your life because you crakced your head.

I agree David - a lost a friend of mine and nearly lost another recently due to accidents while blading or biking. Luckily the one that is still here - wore a helmet.

It saved his life.
