The last time I went to my doctor I complained about heart palpitations. They were frequent, lasted for long periods and took my breath away. They hurt.
I called my doctor in my old city and found out that she left the clinic and moved on to hospital work. I've seen this doctor for nine years and she understood my health issues. She treated me normal and not like some kind of specimen. I can honestly say that my heart had sunk when I heard the news.
I had to be seen so I went in anyway and saw a different doctor. They gave me an EKG and sent me on my way but not before telling me that my 'QRS' waves were abnormal. I explained that those waves with me are always abnormal due to my pulmonary valve stenosis.
They explained that the reading showed signs of a mild heart attack. The only thing I could attribute that too is when I did my inline skate half marathon in April of this year. I haven't felt the same or bladed since. The doctor explained that I should do other than avoid certain foods and exercises and they would get back to me.
Yeah right... a doctor getting back to me that isn't my regular doctor?? HA. HA.
That was two months ago.
I moved to another city almost a year ago and since then I haven't switched my clinics. I decided that since my regular doctor was no longer accessible it was time to move on to a new one. I authorized the file transfer and made an appointment knowing that it wasn't going to be pleasant.
