LISA: "Blah blah blah blah.......so did you wanna talk to Megan? She said she wanted to talk to you. She has been waiting for you to call all day."
ME: "Sure"
(Lisa calls Megan to the phone and I hear a little giggling in the background)
MEGAN: "Jacque?!"
ME: "Hi Megan, How are you?"
MEGAN: "Good"
ME: "That's great Hun. How was school today? Do anything special?"
MEGAN: "Boring, we didn't do anything."
ME: "So what did you wanna tell me Hun?"
MEGAN: "I love you"
(tears welled up in my eyes)
ME: "Oh Hun, I love you too! Thanks for making me feel so good. Is this what you have been waiting to tell me all day?"
MEGAN: (embarrassed) "Yes"
ME: "If I was there Hun I would hold you all night."
MEGAN: "Cool. Maybe when you come this weekend we can play."
ME: "Of course we can."
Of course yesterday for the second week in a row I didn't get to see Mark. We have had standing Wednesday plans for almost a year. The plans I did have with Dave were also cancelled on me but somehow my niece made it all better.
