My weekend....

I spent some time on Friday night looking for Spirit and have yet to find her. I believe she must have found a new home. Saturday was spent having my Dad and Mark install my new gutters. Can I tell you that I'm thrilled with this news?

While they worked I weeded gardens, planted and brought my seedlings outside to their new home.

So my seedlings are blowing in the wind and I am joyful when all of a sudden I notice an atrocity has occurred in my 'oh so happy' neighborhood. I looked again and again but what I saw wasn't a figment of my imagination.

Yes Folks, we have taggers among us. This is tagged on my back alley neighbors house. Can I just say something about this?

I am appalled and outraged. I pay my taxes and keep my yard up. I expect to live in an area free of riftraft and psycho hoodlums but alas my cries will not be heard by the degenerates of our community. I can only hope that the Peace Officers of our fine village will catch the culprits who have preyed on our innocent garages.

TO ALL TAGGERS:
May your aresole run low and the paint lose it's luster.
I have security lights and a big dog named Buster.
He will bite off your leg as you whimper and cry.
I will come to your aid as I laugh "Nice try!"
The cops will assist me in catching you twits
Who mess with our homes and deface our bricks.
SO try as you might as hard as you can
May Buster start with your leg and end with your hands.

Ok.... so now that I'm done being poetic ...

After my Dad left, Mark finished up and started digging the hole for my new pond. It will have a waterfall and a fountain when we're done. I figure it will be pretty fricken awesome when we are done with it.

I will have Hosta's and Fern's surrounding it with many minature garden gnomes. They say those things are magical. I wonder if they could scrounge up a Hostess Fruit Pie or something because I'm hungry.....

So after I cleaned up from working and brought Mark home, I headed over to Julie's house. Where we took pictures of one another. Notice how my eyes have brought out my best feature? (My Demonessa)

We hung out and yapped about our lives while we ate pizza. A fun time had by all.

So Sunday is here and it's more beautiful than you can imagine but I'm inside, windows opened, finally resting. I vow to rid myself of this voracious cold if it's the last thing I do....

OH!! I almost forgot the most important picture! As you can tell, I have myself a new handy dandy cheapy digital camera. Here is a picture of my newly finished remodeled bedroom.

A special fuzzy "Thank You!" goes out to Mark and his father. Mark did all the electrical work, all of the measuring and cutting of the crown molding and baseboards and his Dad graciously let us borrow his table top router to make the custom made baseboards. Mark your wonderful ideas kept coming and your hard work are more than appreciated. *hugs your tight*

Thanks to both Justin and my sister Nicole who helped out sanding wood work. Their fingers got themselves a sure workout.

Thank You Mr. Previous Owner/Builder for your inept construction skills. You made my journey a living hell and Home Depot and Menards a small fortune. I can not tell you enough how much I want to ring your neck and knock some common sense into you.

And last but not least, I must Thank my friend Stacey for giving me a beautiful bed for which the entire room was decorated around, the magnificent bed set that she match to a 'T' and her skillful sewing hands for the awesome curtains.

TRADING SPACES --> EAT YOUR HEART OUT!

It's been a while.....

She isn't home yet and I miss her something terrible.
