The Ceiling

S0 the ceiling dudes showed up today and tested the lady's upstairs pipes to make sure that it wasn't her stuff that was leaking in my unit. I told them her stuff wasn't the cause but they don't believe me.

It's caused by rain but what do I know? I have only been watching it happen for months and months.

Apparently, my dryer vent has a hole in it and has been venting into the ceiling. The dryer vent is also clogged according to the dudes. They will be cleaning out the vent. At least that is something that has to be done and it will make the unit more safe.

They explained that the water is condensation from the dryer vent venting into the ceiling cavity. That is a bunch of crap. The water only appears after it rains. Not in the winter, not when I dry my clothes - but after it rains, in the spring summer and fall.

I think they are nuts but what the hell do I know? I just have lived her for the last year watching my ceiling be destroyed but water every time it RAINS.

Dummies.
