So I saw a new doctor today since I needed to be seen ASAP. I suppose my pierced nose and red streaked hair made him think I was a heavy smoker. So much so that he asked me three times if I was a smoker --- of ANY KIND.
I was offended but made him realize quite quickly that he was a moron when I told him of my respiratory conditions. He eyes widened and he asked how long I have had these things - when I said since birth.
He got serious.
Finally.
I mean, I sound horrible and I am literally gasping for air at times. He believes it's only a upper respiratory infection but has given me an arsenal of medications to attack it so it doesn't become something worse. I mean, I lose my medical insurance on the 1st of August.
For real.
Good news is that I got a call from a company that I interviewed with two weeks ago and they wanted to let me know that I should "hang in there" with them as they will be calling me next Tuesday or Wednesday with an offer. Apparently the people they need approval from are on vacation.
At least I have achieved my goal of getting an offer within two months of being laid off. I have worked so hard the last month trying to do everything I can to get hired somewhere. I have a feeling I will have one or even two more offers next week.
I'm crossing my fingers that I can have a choice where to go....
In the meantime, I need to get myself feeling better. Doc says I can't train for the marathon I'm doing in August or do anything but sit around for the next few days. This is kinda lame but I guess I can hang out online or something huh?
Oh well.
