Last night I began to learn Tai Chi. It's not like I'm going to classes or anything like that but I had Netflix send it off to me. I looked into going to community classes but they cost like $80 and you have to go twice a week for like, 2 hours at a time.
Whatever.
I'm a bit confused. I mean, I'm a visual person and I learn by watching, not reading or talking. So I'm watching the guy and he is facing me so I use the hands he is however it's the opposite hand I should be using because we are facing each other. The dude should have recorded the video with his back facing the camera if he wanted me to actually use the right hands.
I'm totally doing it right (so I think) and going along and then he mentions I should be using the right hand but I'm really using the left hand. Eventually, I was twisted up in a ball trying to match his hands and feet while watching him and pretty much doing the opposiite.
All hell broke loose in my living room and I'm sore from a 10 minute work out that really wasn't even a workout. I should be getting a different DVD tonight and I may have to check that one out and send the other one back. I guess I will have to figure it out. Before you know it, I'm gonna be a Tai Chi master and I will be one with the universe.
