Star Trek: insurrection - Ok, the beginning of this flick freaked me out. I mean, all you saw were these invisible people and a mean data trying to kill everyone. I love Data but evil Data had to seriously go.
Once I understood what was going on I was intested in the movie but I wasn't totally wowed by anything in particular. (Well other than Patrick Stewart and his sexy bald head.)
I thought it was cool that they found a 'fountain of youth' and I wouldn't mind beaming my butt up there right now. I have been reminded several times lately that I'm not 20 years old anymore.
Jerks.
So anyway, I didn't like that one 300 year old chick moving in on my main man captain Picard. That kinda sucked but I suppose he has to get some action at some point ut he should just wait until I'm dead or something.
I was totally grossed out by the stretching of the skin that those ugly alien dudes did all the time. Especially when that one guy got upset and blood squirted out of his forehead.
Gross.
Star Trek: Nemesis - The movie starts out when they find another andriod positronic signature and all of a sudden you know it's another Data. I mean, who else would it be right? He has only had one other identical twin - why not another?
So like, they find the other data and it's a trap by a fricken clone of my one and only Captain Picard himself. Except this clone is 25 years younger and totally mean. I like the bad-boy Picard but he's too bratty for me.
I was completely thrilled with this final movie. It met every expectation that I thought a Star Trek film should have in it. FINALLY, they put out a half way decent flick. Seriously, did you check out when the Enterprise rammed into that other ship? And when Data flung himself into space to get on the other ship? I loved how they FINALLY left the Enterprise in shambles like we have never seen her before.
What they heck? Like Data had to just blow himself up!? I think it was tragic and I cried like a fricken baby when he sacrificed himself for Captain Picard. Although....I mean, it's not like he is really dead being he transferred all of his memory into that new Data (B-4). Right?
I still cried.
I doubt we will ever see a sequel but I hope I'm wrong. Although, what Star Trek movie can top that one? I mean, Deanna Troi and Riker got married for crap's sake. It was so romantical.
It'd be hard to beat....
