I Didn't Go Back To Bed...

Batman Begins - Loved the flick especially since it told the story about how the whole Batman deal started. I mean, it's not like I had time as a kid to get into comic book things. Plus, knowing all about batman is something I need to know to impress my Nephew. He is gaga over him, like, times 1,000.

What was wierd was seeing Katie Holmes in the film. I mean I couldn't take anything she did seriously because all I kept seeing was Tom Cruise with devil horns next to her trying to bring us all over to the dark side of Scientology. Kinda like this...

Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Ok, I love Star Trek but I'm more into the Next Generation than I am into the older stuff. Even so, this movie was all that bad for being done in 1979. I laughed a lot at their graphics and special effects but it was something to keep my mind off the pain from last night. The movie was kinda slow moving for me but it was ok.

Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan - Ok, this flick wasn't too bad but I seriously couldn't get over the fact that they had the dude from fantasy island playing Khan. Granted he was probably a huge star back then and it was a great gig to be a Star Trek enemy in a film but it still was hard to watch knowing he was Mr. Fantasy Island. I kept imagining the little dude saying "D'plane boss! D'plane!!"

This movie also was kinda slow. I put some laundry in, unloaded the dishwasher and emptied out my fridge for cleaning. I mean, I was up and doing stuff most of the movie which means it's not that great of a flick. I have to admit though that when that Khan dude put those slug looking things in the officers ears - I about barfed. That was gross. Especially since I have had an ear ache for like two weeks now. All of a sudden my ears hurt worse after seeing that.

I need help.

The Wrath of Khan is great--even to a Next Generation disciple like myself (a sentiment I know you share). Yes, the Fantasy Island guy is in it, but he actually played Khan when he appeared in one episode of the original Star Trek series, so they really brought back the guy who did it first, but after he won Fantasy Island fame. The first Star Trek movie isn't that great in comparison, and neither are most of the others, unfortunately.

Khan was awesome, even if I did expect to see a short guy named Tattoo run out and bite Captain Kirk's leg.
