The Rollerdome....

Last night at the dome N and I did 30 laps which are equal to 12 miles.  I think we are ready for the marathon in April but I’m not sure what kind of time we will have.  I got myself some new wheels and bearings so I can finally keep up with N and her new skates.

When we went upstairs for our last 5 laps (which turned into 10) everyone was going so fast.  I mean, they go fast upstairs because that is where the speed skaters do their thing but I’m talking – they were going faster than I have seen them in a long while.  I guess everyone is really kicking into high gear with the marathon coming up and being we only had one day this week they had to make it worth it.

The dome is closed all week and next week is the last week of the season prior to the marathon.  I will miss seeing all the people and having the nice surface to skate on.  I dread hitting the trails this year only because I have such fast skates now.

Last night I could barely walk and I was in bed early we did so much! I have noticed a difference in the tone and shape of my legs changing in the last few weeks and I really like that.  A LOT!  So I must endure the pain and keep pushing a long to get the results I want.

Spring is here!!!!
