Today I thought about an old co-worker of mine. We had so much fun working together that most days I laughed so hard that tears would fall. We enjoyed giggling about really ridiculous stuff and it was awesome.
He got laid off and I left the company. We haven’t talked in nearly a year. I miss him.
So, I thought I would send him an email but when I looked to find it I realized I had his old email address and no way to contact him. I figured it was just as well. People move on right?
Later that morning, I was emailing another old co-worker of mine asking how he was and made no mention of the other coworker I didn’t have an email address for anymore. Check out his response to my email….
“[Daydreamer], [Daydreamer]
How the hell are you? This is a coincidence – [old coworker I wanted to get a hold of] emailed me this morning wanting your email address and I didn’t have it.”
Isn’t that just about the freakiest thing you have ever heard of? After almost a year of not talking we both tried to get a hold of each other on the very same day and talked to the exact same old co-worker and exchanged email address that way???
Turns out I emailed him (the dude I didn’t have the email for) and he had tried to email me this morning but he had the wrong email address too. So when he responded to my email (after I got it from the other dude) he sent his original email to me.
All I can say is that I got goose bumps. Weird…..

Wow thats cool! I love when stuff like that happens. It makes the world seem a little less disconnected.
Very weird...but very cool as well.
DUDE! I can't believe how cool it is that you got in touch with ex-coworker dude. And that ex-coworker dude tried to get a hold of you on the same day that you emailed other ex-coworker dude who had just received an email from ex-coworker dude who said ex-coworker dude wanted your email address. Dude, that rocks! Faith is completely right."It makes the world a little less disconnected."
Just one more "DUDE!"
gotta love the universe on a Friday.
So you e-mailed him, but didn't have his current e-mail. At the same time, he e-mailed you, but didn't have your current e-mail. So you both e-mailed a third ex co-worker, but this person didn't have your current e-mail until you e-mailed him. So then you got the correct e-mail and e-mailed him.
Life is good.
EXACTLY!!!
Phoenix & Queenie - you make me giggle!
