Rock climber extraordinaire? Not quite.

Well, I did it.

I went rock climbing and lived to write about it on this thing.  I think I climbed about 10-15 feet.  I don't know the exact number. My hands were sweating and my heart was pounding out of my chest.  I lost use of my muscles the second I looked down.  My arms shook so bad that it took nearly a half hour to calm myself down.  I'm glad I tried it and I will be going again.  Being afraid of heights and climbing straight up a wall don't really go together but even so I did it.

I did it!!!

I love the climbing wall. Best workout imaginable-- other than climbing real rock outside the way one is supposed to do it. But it works the upper body, the core muscles, makes you flexible, and even gives you some aerobic work. And you have to use your brain, too, to find the best routes.

Plus, it's addictive. I can't stay away. It's the best substitute for not having mountains and whitewater down here in NOLA.
