Daydream #3

Birds chirp high above me and sing with glee as the morning inches by. My eyes are closed and my body feels like it's floating on a bed of feathers as I rest comfortably. The warmth from the early morning sun filters through the trees to my cool skin. A mild breeze weaves through my hair and the faint smell of freshly baked blueberry muffins wafts through air.

Andre, the head butler, announces Queenie's arrival. My eyes open to the wonderful assortment of fresh cut fruits, pastries, muffins and the bar tops were full with fresh squeezed juices and ice cold water. My attention is pulled to the door as Andre leads Queenie to the lounge chair next to me.

"Would you like me to get the masseuses ready while you enjoy your brunch?" Andres questioned.

"Of course, we would love that."

Andre leaves to arrange what would be the beginning of a day long spa treatment for both Queenie and I. Queenie arrives in his lounge chair with a mimosa in one hand and a strawberry in the other.

"Can you believe we're here in Greece on the ocean?"

"I know... it's like we're dreaming or something....." I responded in disbelief only to be kindly interrupted by the low bellowing voices of our two massage therapist. "Ladies, we are Mikolas and Christos . We are here to please you..."

Each man was dressed in loose white linen. Their skin was exotic sun kissed bronzed and their eyes and hair a dark mocha brown. Queenie and I glance gleefully at each other as we picked our men. Assisting us out of our robes and on to the tables they assured us that our experience had only just begun.

Slowly their strong hands manipulated our bodies and methodically worked each muscle individually. Soft music played in the background and just as I was about to drift off to sleep Mikolas bent down to whisper in my ear...

"HEY DREAMER - YOU READY FOR LUNCH?"

.....you gotta be kidding me......
