The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is a yearly celebration of the 16th century. People (workers) dress as if they were in this time period. You can play games, watch fire walkers, fire eaters or belly dancers, you can look on as the royal family carries on with their day to day living, purchase authentic replications of crafts and costumes and you can EAT and DRINK and DRINK and EAT. Their food is amazing. The food is one thing but their wines, beers and coffee's are to die for.
Last year my friend Mark invited me to volunteer my time for his friend LaJeanne. She is a Physic and gives hand readings for patrons. We arrange appointments for her and hand out brochures. Last year I met and talked to hundreds of people. Give or take a few instances, it was a good time.
Every night after the patrons (visitors) go home, parties are rampant in the campgrounds for the workers and at times the festival even has some great things planned. It's a huge party most of the time. Last year, Mark and I met a few people but not a whole lot. I'm sure as the years go by we will meet many more.
We set up the tent LaJeanne works in last weekend. The festival starts August 16th in Shakopee Minnesota.

Hope that explains it better Kim. ;o)
