Let The Training Begin.....

Ok folks, it's that time of year again where I get off my lazy butt and start training for The Great River Roll. Last year, the training was simple because I had been rollerblading 10-12 miles 3-4 times a week. Now, I'm injured and a bum.

I haven't bladed in 3 months due to my injured knee that needs surgical maintenance. I'm torn between training for the half marathon (13 miles) that is timed or training for the recreational 15K. (9 miles) Torn or not, I truly have no choice in this matter - the recreational skate is what I must go for this year or I risk doing permanent damage.

I will keep you all up to date on my progress. Mark has eagerly agreed to accompany. Well, he actually brought it up to me. So I will have to start this week in order to get the old stumpy legs in shape again. I have been walking quite a bit lately so I think I'm ready to take the big plunge again.

Maybe it's time you took out your rollerblades, bike or walking shoes. Go and enjoy the beautiful day!
