Mosquitoes and humidity
Salt and sand.
What a hellish morning
In this winter wonderland.
I say we take all our hair dryers out and start melting this crap. So we got 6 - 10 inches last night and it took me about 45 minutes to go 9 miles. I am a lucky one too. I take all back roads were there isn't any traffic. Those poor suckers on the freeways have it rough. Sucks to be them.
I still can't get over the people that think that their big 4X4 trucks and SUV's are going to stop on ice. It's a wonder how they think their 3-4 ton truck will stop faster than my 1 ton beetle. Especially when they are going 3 times faster than me. They only thing they have on me is that they probably didn't have to shovel a path prior to plowing out of their driveway so they didn't bottom out. (I had too)
Thank Heaven for small miracles!! Luckily, Mark showed up this morning and started shoveling so I could get to work sometime prior to the afternoon. I would have been stranded for quite a few hours if he hadn't of showed up. -----> *hugs* and *kisses* to you my good man!!
I hear we are suppose to get about an inch more prior to the end of the day but that's nothing to worry about. The other drivers -- that is another story. I was on my way to work and some chicka was coming to the intersection -- and you know how you just get a feeling that someone is going to do something stupid? Well she did. She was going like a bazillion miles an hour and she stop RIGHT as she gets to the corner.
So she slams on her brakes and slides almost all the way through the intersection. I of course was about to go through the intersection in the far left lane but had to stop for Moron Barbie that looked like a crazed blow fish as she was screaming in her terror. So instead of just backing up -- she does a U-turn and gets stuck on some more ice. Now she is kiddie corner backwards in the middle of the entire intersection with cars honking and veteran Minnesota drivers just shaking their heads in disbelief.
It's a wonder how some people get through life. If you are planning to visit Minnesota and you are planning on driving. Please take a course on "How not to be a Moronic Blonde Barbie While Driving In Minnesota."
